Under the direction of the Director of Academic Human Resources, the Assistant Manager will be a member of the Pediatrics Academic Human Resources team that provides personnel and payroll services to a total of approximately 588 academic employees. The incumbent will assist in the management of the daily operations of the Pediatrics Academic Human Resources Office.
- Demonstrated management skills including delegating, providing clear and concise directions, and organizing work flow
- Must be fully cognizant of basic payroll/personnel policy, regulatory and other requirements along with having a working knowledge of budget
- Demonstrate an awareness of policies, rules, laws, regulations or other restrictions on the use of funds sufficient to ascertain compliance
- Skill in reading, understanding, interpreting and applying Academic Personnel Policies & Procedures, collective bargaining agreements, administrative guidelines, departmental policies & procedures; accounting/budget, and technical reports
