Accountant 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 Support and drive timely accounting monthly close process, including the review and preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations 

 Support the company’s Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), and fixed asset accounting processes as well as other ad hoc accounting requirements 

 Provide support to internal and external audit activities including preparation of audit schedules, as needed 

 Support sales, operational, and financial reporting duties, including preparation of schedules for weekly, monthly, and quarterly department-level and company-level reporting and review slide decks 

 Research and explain variances to budget and prior year, as needed 

 Support other ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed 

 Drive process improvements by identifying and driving changes to be more effective and efficient including leveraging data and technology 

 Perform related duties as requested or assigned 

 Perform inventory of raw material and finish product. 

 Perform Costing 

 Perform Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned 

 

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: 

 Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements 

 Strong understanding of accounting close process 

 Attention to detail resulting in consistent, reliable, and accurate work product 

 Strong written and oral communication skills 

 Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize 

 Flexible, adaptable, proactive and strong sense of curiosity 

 Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

 Minimum of 3 to5 years of accounting or relevant experience 

 Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office); knowledge of advanced Excel functions (lookup formulas, pivot tables, charts) and working with large data sets 

 Experience / knowledge of ERP system (SAP B1) 

 

Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician primary responsibilities are to repair, maintain and set-up any and all production equipment as needed. Also to apply all technical knowledge and experience to insure that all repairs and set-ups are performed in a safe and accurate manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform set-ups as per manufacture's requirements
• Read and understand manufacture's preventative maintenance recommendations

• Perform production set-ups and inspections in a timely manner
• Maintain all necessary tools and equipment to perform the duties as assigned
• Read and understand basic electrical schematics
• Perform basic electrical jobs such as replace motors, switches and basic relay circuits
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of plant equipment including, but not limited to, production equipment during machine service. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance service.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Installs replacement belts, filters, gears, chains and valves.
• Rebuilds valves, pumps and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoots pneumatic, electric and hydraulic machine problems and makes necessary repairs.
• Performs repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement and breakdowns due to mechanical wear.
• Work to the highest standards to represent the Company in an exemplary manner.
• Welds machine components.
• Comply with OSHA & CalOSHA safety and health rules.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed.
• Ensures tasks are completed in accordance with USDA regulations.
• Provides regular status reports to maintenance management team.

QA
Job Description

 We are seeking a QA Inspector to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Conducts daily inspections to production lines
• Monitor and enforce employee's GMP practices
• Focus on Food Safety and Quality Program
• Performs food safety and quality system inspection/audit
• Monitors and records all information about food safety and quality
• Monitor COA's for incoming and outgoing products, Revise customer specification sheets
• Performs equipment calibration (pH meter, thermometers, aW meter, scales calibration check)
• Coordinate QA efforts with R&D In-Plant trials, Product Evaluation and changes
• Responsible for labels, recipes, quality weights checks, monitoring plant temperatures
• Responsible for Hold and/or Release product after COA's micro results food safety evaluation
• Assists our FDA/USDA inspectors
• Ensures compliance with HACCP, process and quality SOP’s and adherence to GMP standards
• Interface with AIB, third party auditors, Kosher Council, and County, State and Federal agencies that pertain to GMP, HACCP, regulatory, quality and food safety issues.
• Maintain current documentation on Pest Control Program with highlighted deficiencies/corrective actions, Create, implement and monitor equipment and tools SOP procedure Performs Pre-Op:
• An extremely thorough check of all equipment to make sure it is clean, maintained and functioning correctly.
• Must make sure that staff are complying with personal hygiene procedures
• Must check that all waste bins are clean and accessible
• Check that the correct packaging and labels is on hand

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 to5 years of accounting or relevant experience
• Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office); knowledge of advanced Excel functions (lookup formulas, pivot tables, charts) and working with large data sets
• Must have HACCP experience
